O.k. I know that you can twin turbocharge and I know that you can put one supercharger on a truck, but can you twin supercharge? It may be a dumb question, but I would really like to know. Anyone know anything?

I don't think they make a Supercharger specifically for the 3.9. Why? I think the 5.2 supercharger is to big for the 3.9, two of im would send piston parts into orbit.

But I did see a bad azz camaro on Horse Power T.V. that had twin superchargers.

You can use the 5.2 blower on the 3.9L no problem. All superchargers are adjustable for the amount of boost they put out. And yes you can twin supercharge, you can even turbocharge and supercharge at the same time. The supercharger will give you power off the line at low rpm's then the turbo will kick in at higher rpms after they spool up. I have seen diesel engines with 4 turbos on them.

Superchargers are sized to provide maximum boost at a certain rpm. A small blower will make enough boost at low engine rpm's but won't be able to keep up at high rpms. A larger blower may have to be geared in such a way to make high rpm boost that it is inefficient at low rpms. So you have two different sized superchargers to provide lots of power throughout the rpm range.

Getting back to the original question:

Yes it can be done, you just need the bling-bling to make it sing. I can't believe I just typed that.

I think a setup like that would be good on a Viper V10 stuffed into a Dak.

Thanks for all of your imput. In response for 93dakman, they do make superchargers for the Dakota. They are made by Eaton. I personally want the 112 model. They can put out about 200 horses apiece. With twins that is about 575 total horsepower out of a V6 with out any other modifications. Now THAT is what I am talking about.
