Message: 92, 93 and early 94 V8's have ball stud cables, all of the rest (late 94 to present have disc mount). I THINK that all of the V6's have the ball stud mount. I went to junkyard today and bought a V8 throttle body today and it came off of a 93. I didnt need to get the cable because it was the same as my 93 V6 cable. (same P/N)

Message: Yeha, I agree. I wish the forum moderators would delete those posts before anyone has to waste the time to read the immature comments that people make.
By the way, I just put on the V8 T.B. about an hour ago. From the time it took to open the hood, swap S-bolts and throttle bodies and close the hood was only about 15 minutes. It was very easy to do. The stock Cable just pulled rightoff and popped back on the V8 T.B. The only problem I had was a little air(vacuum?) line coming fromm the Intake manifold split in half, but there was enough slack to cut off the bad and hook er right up. I havent got to drive it yet, but it seems to idle the same, but it revs up ALOT faster.
Ill post back on how much I think it made a difference.
I was really thinking about taking pictures and writing captions under them so it would be put under the "How-To Articles". But I figured something this easy, anyone could do it with out instructions.

Message: WOW!!
Well, I took it for a ride with the new T.B. and I noticed a difference. A BIG difference. I don't believe that I lost any low end power like others have. It felt the same from Idle to 2500 RPM's. But after that, she took off like a raped ape. At about 3500 it SCREAMED, its never done that before.

Message: the ball mount or disc mount is where the cable connects to the tb linkage. as far as the s-bolt that you would have to make. it replaces the funky plate and stud arrangement that DC uses to hold down the air hat. do a search and i'm sure you'll find instructions on how to make. just takes some 1/4" all thread rod, real simple.

Message: This site mentions a bunch of simple mods including the ever-so-famous S-bolt.

Also, when doing the S-bolt mod... the pattern on the site does not have the correct dimensions, angle, or proportions so don't use it as an actual pattern. Just use it as a visual aid when making your own pattern.
