 Subject: Elec fan not working with A/C???

removed my clutch fan..but the rad fan does not run when i turn on A/C.
It will kick on when temp hits approx 210
or if i jump battery power to the lead on the relay.
also..the a/c compressor shakes on engagement.not always just while the temp is pretty hot.
it cycles on/off in max a/c setting.
did a few checks..got the right vdc at the fan relay.
what might be causing the a/c not kicking the rad fan on..

I think theres a separate replay that will provide a ground for the fan relay when the a/c is on. I think you have something wired wrong.

I did'nt re wire any thing..just removed the clutch fan...for all I know the elec fan has'nt been coming on with the A/C..
I did wire the fan to a switch so I can turn fan on at any time.

Fan is working now..pulled and cleaned connectors to A/C..
Also just installed a thermo switch,comes on when the thermo opens..

where did u locate the thermo switch for the electric fan, im putting one in my 99 v6 and dont know where it goes. the kit i got is from becool radiator. got their whole polished radiator, chrome fan,chrome overflow and chrome upper and lower radiator lines. they sent me a sensor for the fan but dont know where to install it. thanks for reply

I installed the sensor in the rad..just pushed it into the webbing between runners...
kinda like the retaining straps you get with a trans cooler
