Subject: Rolled my Dak, will it live? IP: Logged
Message: I've never posted here before, but I was hoping to borrow experience from anyone who has been through this or knows enough to advise me. Last night on the way home from visiting my Dad in Wisconsin, I managed to hit a slick spot and run my truck off the highway (I-90 if you know it). I was going about 60 and went off to the right, through a fence, and ended up on the passenger side after skidding about 25 feet sideways. The damage appears to be entriely cosmetic on the right side, and the only serious problems were a busted headlight and foglight, and the right front tire blew out.
Now my question: Do you think the truck will ever be the same? I always hear of people saying that there vehicle was never the same after an accident. Has anyone here had anything similar happen to their truck and after repair it was fine? I know this is probably a rather case specific situation, but I'm just hoping someone may be able to share some insight.
About the truck: 2001 SLT Regular Cab, V6 Auto 4X4, only 19K miles
Thanks,
John

Message: i believe that as long as the frame isn't bent you can probably get it pretty close back to normal. you might have new noises (squeaks, rattles), but that would just be from the new or after market parts not being installed the same way as at the factory.
