Subject: Brakes... IP: Logged
Message: I need to and getting my brakes and rotors replaced. Also going to have ball joints checked and front end align done as well. I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on what brand/type I should get. It's still my daily driver (although it gets me from point A to B rather quickly) so I need something thats reliable and worth it. Basicly the more bang for the buck. Keep in mind this is going to installed as well, so labor cost is an issue (its a Xmas present so I'd rather have it done :)

Message: The best combo for our trucks are the power slot rotors with hawk HP pads. I've also heard that the 911 pads (can't remember the Mfg) are pretty good too)

Message: I saw the power slot, I don't need nothing that high end, price isnt really an issue. Just the over all need for something like that isnt there right now. Just need some 9-5ers, nothing crazy, just wondering on a brand that napa would have or something like that, nothing thats over the top or anything, just conventional. Thanks for the tip though, when i get my a-b car ill probably go more high on alot of stuff, just not in the immediate future for me. So any help on those would be very appreicated, but thanx again for the tips.

Message: here we go again, some clown asks a question and gets the answer that he apparently wanted as he asked " It's still my daily driver (although it gets me from point A to B rather quickly) so I need something thats reliable and worth it." and gets the BEST answer possible and then says "I saw the power slot, I don't need nothing that high end, price isnt really an issue. Just the over all need for something like that isnt there right now." which means to me that he really wanted the cheap stuff instead of the better/best stuff. Ya want cheap go to MIDAS as their stuff is never as good as the original. If you don't want the best don't ask us as the best is all there is for a hard core truck junkie. By the way, if "price isnt really an issue." why the heck would you not want the best?

Message: The NAPA parts are fine for your daily driver. Pick up their brake rotors and get their "application engineered" brake pads. Both will be good products for a good price. Never buy Midas.

Message: thank you whitedakota, a simple answer to my revised question. and "o boy" wtf is your deal? u act like all parts are gonna be the same, i said it was my daily driver and didn't need "performance" braking, just wanted to know if anyone knew some "over the counter" type that were better than others. if you took the time to pull your head outta your ass and gained some sort of common sense you could've gotten the point of the question just like White did, but I guess its just easier to flame, pussy.
Thanx White, much appreciated.
