Joe dont be an idiot. All engine sizes are rounded up or down to the nearest tenth. There is no actual engine size that is just 3.9 or 4.7 or any of that good stuff. They do it that way so you dont have to be like, "Ya i have a 3.92374 dakota V6!". Its a formula in liters. Its not just fords imagination, there is actual logic behind it. They dont just round up to be cute. More than likely they rounded it up because somewhere, in there, they probably had a digit that was equal to or over 5. If you've ever even taken a basic arithmatic course you would understand that conept.

This is a Ford bashing thread not a place for someone to show their math skills or inflated ego as you did. Message: When Car and Driver was explaining this, they talked about the rounding up and since there was no digit over 5, that is where they came up with the engine actually being a 4.9 not a 5.0. Sorry to burst the bubble you live in Mr.6, but it is time for you to come back to reality, better yet stay on your Ford board and leave the dakota boards to the dakota people.

Message: Joe dont forget this isnt a post to show your lack of intellegence either... keep that in mind. Maybe the 5.0 is a 4.9. But we'll never actually know if the 5.0 is the only engine that is the figment of a car companies imagination because i highly doubt Car and Driver has ever invested the time and effort into looking and seeing how many engines are truthfully what they claim to be. And also my other question is... You guys cant honestly beleive that you can post, on any forum, a post that is bashing one thing or another and not expect some sort of negative feedback can you? I mean... If i posted something I was sh-tty with, in this case one of you must have been smoked by a stanger, I would want somebody to challenge me otherwise I dont feel it to be worth wild to begin bashing in the first place. The best bet, from my point of view, would be on any forum dodge, ford, or chevy to just not bash on anything if you dont want nasty responces. Well Joe I wont dog ya anymore after this, but just remember when you get outside of the world you live in,the world you call "V6 Dakotas", you'll discover pretty quick that there are alot of other car guys that will tell you to put up or shut up. And unless your running something under 15 seconds in that 6 of yours then its a pretty safe bet you'll be shutting up in the end regaurdless.

Message: I didn't start this thread because of a personal experience with a Ferd.....the dyno shop just told my father about it and he told me. i thought it was very interesting the way the HP doesn't match up and how Ferd has done that before....i don't expect any negative feedback (maybe from chris w, j/k) because no one out there has anything to prove about it. did your rustang dyno the full 220 HP at the wheels? doubt it now but anyone with a stock 2002 or 2001 rustang with a dyno sheet.....please post it....i kinda see what joe is saying....what i think he is saying is that 4.9 is the rounded number...which would round to 5.0 if you round to the whole number. so why don't we just call our engines 4.0s? that is rounded up,too!

Mr.6 as you can see from my profile, I have a v8 4x4 and a v6 quad. The quad happens to be driven by my wife, so I am not a v6 driver as you say and I would not be the one shutting up in the end regardless. I have no problem with anyone attacking a post that I make. When you attack me as a person that is different. All you had to say was, "Joe, I disagree with you because.... or where did you get your info? calling someone an idiot is a sure way to get on a persons bad side. Enough of this thread. I am not going to stoop to your level or anyone elses.
sicminds, you are the one one sounding like an idiot in your "I spank your v8's and I got a v6." This was between mr6 and I not you or anyone else.
