Subject: Spark Plug Gap IP: Logged
Message: I have an MSD Blaster 2 coil with MSD Super Conductor wires on my '89 3.9, and I was wondering if anyone out there in Dakota land knows if I could/should increase the spark plug gap from the factory .035" Thanks!

Message: No...MSD only recommends taking the plug gap up to .050" if you're running their MSD Ignition system (MSD5, MSD6, or MSD7).
Keep the factory gap but you can take it up about .005" with a hotter coil.

Message: Thanks for your input guys! I think I will just keep the factory gap. I didn't really want to have to pull all the plugs again anyway!
