I want get a lower profile, smaller tire...
will this help/ruin anything?

I have heard conflicting opinions that a smaller tire will give me better low end, worse high end...

well, the smaller size tire diameter will spin faster = faster take off
smaller tire size also needs more rpm to spin faster so you will do more rpms at higher speeds....but not that much....
so i guess it might be half true because it doesn't change the amount of power...just applies it at different times...
going to a smaller tire is like getting numerically higher gears.
if you are curious about rpms with different size tires go to www.ring-pinion.com and look for the calcutator, you can input a tire size and speed to find rpm....will also show you how to get tire diameter on different tire sizes.

ok now i have a lowered 95 dodge dakota and im thinking about lifting it back up.. but i have 18" rims on it with low profiles.. is there a good all terrain 18": tire i can put on my dodge after its lifted...

18in all terains are not cheep just look around on the web or go to some local tire shops and compare price and waranty on them
