i have 2 dakotas, a 96 4x4 3.9 auto & a 97 2x4 3.9 auto.
what tranys are in these?
the 97 has a shift problem. around 97,000 then trany is cold it slipps at 2-3. i keep the gas soft untill it shifes (20 mph.) does this for first mile. in winter the mile gets longer. i had the filter & ban adj. have lived with 154,000 any
subjestions?
the 96 4x4 slips 1-2 2-3. i let off gas to get it to shift. so as not to burn up friction plates.
104,000 after around a mile of 40+ it seems to shift fine. but seems to start all over if stop and go driving is incured. any help is appricated.
