What is he talking about? a resistor to plug the IAT sensor wire into?

I payed $.52 for a plug to put into the hole the sensor came out of and $.18 for a nut to put on the back of the IAT sensor when I drilled the new hole into the bottom of the breather input hose.... $9 w/shipping, I think I got off cheap!
