Hey guys. I've got a 99 3.9l Dakota 5sp. One morning last week I went out to start my truck in the 20 degree weather. I started it up and immediatley the motor started making a very loud knock-clang sound and the motor shook pretty bad. I turned it off and tried it again. Same thing. The third time I tried it, it made the noise for a few seconds and then stopped and ran just fine. Someone looked at it and we finally determined that I had water in my gas tank which froze in my injectors. I'm not so sure of that though. Before, it had a "rattle" type noise coming from the motor which sounded just like a worn out timing chain. it's been like that for a while now. But after the episode the other morning, There seems to be no rattle anymore but it runs just fine. That is what concerns me and also it may just be me, but it seems to not run and sound quite as smooth at times as it usually does at times. I may be worrying over nothing, but if any one can shed any light on this, I would greatly appreciate it and thanks for reading this long post!

Thanks, Seth
