I have been having some troubles with a rough idle. I think I will just try replacing the AIS.
What are the normal idle speeds for the 3.9 v6 automatic? both in park and gear?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

mine starts out at ~900 then drops down after a few seconds to like 750 and maybe a little lower in D (like 650)
im not sure i dont pay that much attention
all i know is that jeep 318's idle a lot smoother
my engine like vibrates more then i would like it to. anything that can be done to stop that??

thanks for the info
When I say it idles rough - I meant it idles so rough it shakes the cab pretty violently but it only happens evry once in a while.
Even when it is running good, it idles at about 400
|

after a trip it goes to 700 in park
