my truck started running rough,stalling hard to start randomly.i read posts on sensors,ais,pick up effect ect.nothing worked until i pulled the fuel pump out of the tank and cleaned the filter on the bottom of the pump and the 2 screens with a couple cans of carb cleaner,be careful not to damage the plastic with cleaner,cleaned all sludge from inside the tank,now its good as new.finally problem solved.fyi easier to lift the bed,rather than drop the tank.nothing removed the sludge from the lower filter accept for powerful cleaner like carb/brake cleaner sprays,the parts stores didnt sell replacement filters for the fuel pump,they just stocked the entire fuel pump for 250.00.i was shocked how much build up accumulated.5 bucks worth of cleaner,and a few hours,good luck
