Subject: 1991 Ignition Problem IP: Logged
Message: We have a 1991 Dodge Dakota which has continual intermittant starting problems. We took it to the Dodge dealer, they said they resolved it--but didn't. We replaced the starter. It will be running fine. If we turn off engine and then go to restart it--it won't start. Sometimes putting the car in neutral will allow it to start. Other times, opening and slamming down the hood will allow it to start. Does anyone have any idea what it could be--it's driving us nuts. There have been incidents when we couldn't start it for a couple days, and then it would start up again.
