Message: dude,
i installed the Jet Performance Chip Stage 2 chip on my 2000 Dodge Dakota V sixer and it works well. i know there is a lot of negativety for Jet not working on the V eighters BUT for the V sixers it works excellent. just ask the fellow members, especially Bernd. he helped me alot with all my mods. in fact i'm getting an IAT adjuster and a Kat Box so i won't need the chip i have now. if you want mines let me know. i'm at dakotachump@hotmail.com

Message: "i know there is a lot of negativety for Jet not working on the V eighters BUT for the V sixers it works excellent" actually i've heard the EXACT OPPOSITE many times. the stage II is supposed to be for all three engines (5.2, 5.9, 3.9) but it's actually programmed for the v8 models. thus it's very innefective on the v6. just my take on it.

Message: I have a Jet Stage II Chip on my 98 V6 and it works great! I've noticed an awesome improvement in shift points and the quickness of shifting. I got it about 5 months ago from the recommendation of a friend and have had nothing but compliments for it.

Message: You can use it on your stock truck from JET. That would be considered a "Stage I" chip. That will tune the truck from OEM tuning to more power tuning. A nice improvement.
With a "Stage II" chip, you would need a 180-degree thermostat, free flowing exhaust, usually with headers, and probably a nice air intake. A very nice improvement!

Message: TigerDak, why the 180 therm. What does the cooler therm do? I always run 195. Thanks. See ya.
