Message: I was told by multiple people that a muffler size of 2.5 would fit my 2.5 factory pipes. It doesnt. Id have to have it welded to fit the damn thing.

Message: which muffler did you get...
what i am trying to get at is the outside diameter of the exhaust pipe should be 2.5" and the muffler needs inlet/outlet with 2.5" inside diameter so it will fit... now it will take some work but thats how it goes.
BUT... i suggest welding anyway. Clamps rust, rot and leak.

Message: it sounds good ... a little raspy at 4500 rpms but all mufflers are gonna do that. Leaving the tailpipe on gets rid of most of that.

Message: Take it to a muff shop and have them expand the
pipes to 2.5 ID
The muffs come with 2.5 OD or ID you got a 2.5
OD same as your pipes. for a slip you need ID
In Out is just inlet outlet

Message: Does anybody know a place that sells a 2.5" OD turndown tip that would slip into a 2.5" flowmaster? I can't find them anywhere. They all seem to be 2.5" ID turndowns.
