You can also go with a set of Ross or Keith Black
pistons and have them made to a 10 to 1 ratio for
about $300.

Use some clivet steal back bearings and your all
set just 1 thing if the piston weight is more than
5 grams diff than stock get the assy ballanced

You can get cams or have one custom ground to
any lift and duration you want, I am running a
268 272 with a .480 lift with the 1.7 ratio rockers

You can also buy a modded intake or do your own
its not that hard to do

Hey Larry-Thanks for all the great info especially for us guys with 3.9L engines. I have read alot of posts on here & was wondering what "realistic" suggestions you have for incrreasing HP from my pre-mag 1990 2WD x-cab auto Dakota(it only has 69,000kms on it but puts out a measley 125HP). I am not interested in peeling the tires off my truck but only want to get a little more HP to help tow a 1400lb Bolr/Trillium trailer. I have heard of porting/polishing heads + 3 angle valve job + install of new camshaft etc. What are your suggestions to get my truck up to 160HP? 175HP?

Thanks and have a great day!
