Message: Last night my ABS & Brake light came on. I check all connections and fluid. Truck brakes fine tho. The brakes have always squeled and the pads seem to be in decent shape. Anyone know what may have caused this or a fix to this?

Message: Sometimes road grime will work its way into/onto the ABS sensor. This will send a reading that the computer interprets as a problem. If you have been driving off road try to wash out the fenderwells and around the wheels to loosen any mud clots off. If not try it anyways, sometimes it's just road grime or brake dust. Try this first, cause the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg to replace the thing even when it is still good.

Message: I would pull the code and see what it says. If the dealer knows what there doing they won't replace a sensor thats still good. Where i work we checkt he sensor with an ohm meter to see if it has the right resistance, if it does we check the waveform with an occiloscope to determine if the sensor really has a problem, or if the reluctor ring is cracked, or maybe there is an electrical problem between the sensor and computer.

Message: You will also get that warning light if you blow
the brake light fuse.
