Message: The filter will not change your gas mileage if
you suspect a prob test the presure between 40 to
50 pounds is normal
The jet 2 chip is the way to go it will give you
better mileage and throttle response but don't
expect any big performance increase from the chip
but they do help a little.
You can get the same resaults by moding the crank
sensor and relocating the IAT and the cost is just
your time.

I had the Jet stage 2 and would not recommend it to anybody.
IAT relocate and 180* t-stat did way more, for hundreds less.
Also you will get a little worse MPG in the winter compared to summer.

I would also have to say the small gain you get
from the jet is not worth the $230 they cost $50
to a $100 would be more reasonable.
The IAT is your incoming air temp sensor located
in the #2 intake runner right in front of the
Throttle body, reading colder air will advance
the timing and increase the pulse width on the
injectors and dump more fuel in the mix.
You need to lengthen the wires on most but a good
place to put them is in the incoming air supply
tube that goes to your air hat or round filter
on the older models, solder the wires if you make
them longer and it don't mater which side goes
where.
Timing sensor is located on the pass side behind
the head in the bell housing, you can gain 3 to 4
degree's advance from this mod better low end and
gas mileage is what you will notice most.
http://www.krcperformance.com/newcontent/timing.html
be sure you remove the rubber grommet if you do
this mod so the sensor will move over.
If you get any piston ping go to a set of colder
plugs 1 range cooler.
The 180 thermo will also help with any ping and
also increase volumetric efficiency and give you
more performance, mopar themselves even admits
that the only reason they use the 195 is for emissions
and the cooler running motor will produce more
hp
And these are all free mods except for the thermo
and new gaskit under $10 super stant 180 thermos
work very well in these trucks avalible at a lot
of parts stores, don't get the cheap one they
open a little to soon than they are supose to

Message: Just use a 1/2 drill bit and it will screw in, if
you want you can put an electical thin nut on the
inside but most will stay where you put them with
no probs
1/4 NPT its just a 1/3 pipe plug, I use the allen
head type instead of the square nut type they look
better in the hole
Yes the crank sensor is a pain to get to but it
can be done just use a few choice words while
doing it, helps wonders
