Subject: runnin cold IP: Logged
Message: i just replaced my temp sendin unit to make my temp gague work, which it did, but now i notice tat my engine is runnin really cold, the needle only moves about 1/8 of an inch, no where near center, i figure the thermostat, any other suggestions? Steve

Do you have like a meat thermometer just remove
the rad cap and take a reading right in the
coolant and see what you get
should be between 190 200 degrees if so you have
something else up that your guage does not read
right.
You can check the new sensor to see if its right
here is the tables you need and a how to check
instructions to check the sending unit.
Did you replace the guage sending unit or egine
temp sensor, they are 2 differant animals

Message: i replaced the one infront and to the side of the intake manifold and behind the alternator, it only cost like 10 bucks. i have a 96 if that helps. Thanks, Steve
