Open the glove box and read the tag on the inside of the door.

I'll bet you have a 3.55 open 8 1/4. You can buy the stock unit made by Dana from the dealer for about $400.00 or you can buy it online for about $150.00 and have it installed for about $150.00+2 bearings and oil.

The Dana unit, a Trac-Loc, is about $160 from www.4wheelparts.com.

I checked in the glove box for the rear end specs It said 3.21 & chrysler 8.2 Will that be a problem finding a posi tract rear end for that gear ratio. With that ratio that is probly why the rear end looses traction so easy on wet payvment when I just give it a little gas but I sure get good milage 23-24 mpg

That is good mileage. You might also consider a locker like the PowerTrax No Slip. I have that in my 01CC and it's awesome traction but you have to be careful in corners or you'll spin.

The Trac-Loc fits, I have one in mine, and it is the least expensive of the limited slip units.

No noise, it works quite well. Fun to do dual tire burn outs.
