Message: I noticed that you have taken your truck to Union Grove. That isn't to far of a drive from Woodstock IL where I live. I haven't been up there myself but my friends drag there on weekends. I have been to Lake Geneva Raceway. My email is mopar4262002@hotmail.com if you would like to wright. I was wondering where you have had some of your work done on your truck or did you do it yourself?

I am retired but still have a 51% interest in the
business, we do mostly B Body Mopar restoration
and all I do now is play with the trucks that come
in for work for something to do
My main duty at the shop we have had for over 30
years was building motors for the cars we restore
I still overlook most of that work but Jason does
most of it these days, Jerry and James are the 2
body guys
We make it down to union grove once in a while for
some grudge races and just to run some of our 10
second cars
We have 8 road runners and 1 super bee right now
the rest of the cars in the shop are customer jobs
being worked on or waiting to be restored we have
a 1 year waiting list on restows right now, these
cars are becoming more and more valuable every day
We also have a yard 40 acres with about 30 mopar
parts cars we have collected over the years that
really comes in handy

Message: hey larry i know ya got a stroker but i was wondering if there,s enough meat btween the
cylinders to just do an over bore and get some
more bottom end that way just a thought that it could be a cheaper route than stroking

Message: Yes you can go .030 over in all the blocks some
can go .060 but that is pushing it some will be
to thin between the cyl and water jacket and blow
The best way to go is bore .030 over and have
Ross or Keith Black make you a set of 10 to 1
pistons. .015 per side is .030 over
1 thing to consider is the weight diff between the
pistons if its more than 5 grams I would also get
the assy ballanced.
It would be about $2500 less than stroking it, you
can get the pistons for around $300 gaskits and
some good clevet bearings and have a strong lower
end.
The stock rods are fordged but the crank is
nodular iron they are good to run safely to
5 5500 rpm even with my cam and ported heads the
power drops of bad over 4800 and I rarely rev it
over 5000 because there is no reason to
