Cant anyone see that there is no way any dodge can take any chevy. (although i will give u the hemi, which is a decent truck)
But all around, the only thing i sell at my dealership is chevy, because they are the number one most selling pickups and suv's and family cars and vans.
And to all the DAKOTA lovers, get a life,

you say you have a chevy dealership .if this is true which i doubt you should be trying to sell that junk instead of harrassing us.but i can see why you are pissed. you wish you owned a dodge dealership.you are proably the janitor at chevy dealership keep scrubing those toilets boy maybe you can get job at a 5-star dodge dealership one day.

take a stroll through a junk-yard and see chevy,s place.50 percent GM,50 precent every other makes=100 percent=chevy,s #1 sellers.

I gonna send the Dakota down the road next spring and get the 2500 Cummins.
Checked out Ford, Chevy and Dodge Diesel.
Ford - Too big, steering sucks and International blows up.
Chevy - Cheezy interior and build quality.
Dodge - Won, hands down!

consumer reports rated the toyota tundra as the most reliable and the chev s10 4X4 as the least. The dakota was an also ran loaded with problems like the ford and the other chev.
My next truck is a tundra.
I bought a dak because it was cheap and I didn't want a full size.

man he is soo wrong on chevy being #1 and dodge not being able to touch the chevy.
those new cavys cant even stand to a 97 neon with intake and exhuast only i blew to doors off a guy in one when i had me neon and now with my dakota i think it wold take those s-10's very easy.
i have driven s-10's and they are not all that great.
he just needs to get some lined up for ppl to run and to take 4x4 and see the proof

This forum has the most trash talkers who own other brands than any other forum ive ever seen. this is a place for dakota owners to share ideas and information.. whats with everyone else (chevy, ford, toyota, etc.) taking everything so personally? obviously they spend more time talking trash then putting their truck to the test. yea, i break stuff, but when i get to go out wheelin with a group, i hardly get followed. i'm sick of seeing chevys and fords drive around the outside of everything and sit and watch me, or a jeep or another dodge try something. then if i get stuck or break something all i get is trash talking. i say stop the bs and show something.. like im going to automatically believe you when you say your truck is faster, or your truck would pull mine around the parking lot. i have yet to see it, and lord knows ive tried...............

Lol. A dodge can never take a chevy? Ok. Lets compare. SRT-4 Compared to the Cavalier........... Mark one for the Ram. And Chevy came out with the z06 to compete with the Viper. They beat the viper barely, but then came the srt-10. Where chevy lost again. Go play with your little chevys, and let us big boys with the REAL cars/trucks.

I was just sort of looking around at the car lot today and noticed that that metal on all the dodges are thinker than the rest... Ford number one selling truck... Very thin, chevy/GMC thin, Dodge, thick... So I am gonna guess that they are number one selling because they do not cost as much due to that amount of money ford and chevy makes from making the metal thiner.
Of corse a chevy will out run a dodge, it is lighter. Hmmm I want the truck that won't rust as fast and will work harder.. Wow, I already have a dodge as does the rest of you. Good for us.

I got a dodge because at least you can change all your own plugs, wires, cap, rotor ect. without having to own a cherry picker to pull the motor when you change spark plugs..

Being older than most of you, I have owned many trucks, including Chevy's, Dodge, Toyota and even an International. The reason I bought the Dakota, right size and fun to drive along with passenger space and off-road ability.
Toyota Tundra - I am sure it is good. Too soft for anyone who wants a truck.
Ford - Too big. Good Truck
Chevy - excellent Truck. I don't like the way you sit in it. No fun to drive.
Tundra - Good truck, too rough
Dodge Ram - Too big, no offroad ability (angle of approach is too low)
By the way, fastest truck I ever owned, 70 chev shortbed, 327,3sd,3.73 rear. Who knows what the engine came out of, I bought it used. You didn't open it up unless you had a good grip on it. Wasn't that fast, but sure was a lot of fun.

ya know, it's all based on who you want to give your money to. It seems like everything today's got the same warrenty, so if you like the bowtie buy an s10. If you like the blue oval then buy a ranger. If you like the red circle then buy a foreign truck. The dakota is unique in that it's bigger than a small truck and smaller than a big truck. But other than that, they're all the same. I agree with Eggman, we all use sites related to our trucks because who else better to ask? Come on people.

Chevrolet-Cheap Heads Every Valve Rattles Or Leaks Every Time. Ford-Fix or Repair Daily, Fixed or Recycled Dodge. GMC-Got a Mechanic Commin. I've driven Chevy, Ford and GMC, but I'd rather have a Dodge in my garage.

My dad's acronym for Ford.
First On Racing Day.
He made that up when he had his Ranger (which was a good truck, just under-powered since he had the 4 banger) and when the top cars in Nascar were all Fords.
