Hi guys--just got myself a 2000 Clubcab 5 speed W/3.9 2WD--My first Amercican P/U. Just wondering, if i was wanting to spend around $1000, what are the best mods to do for more performance. I'm sure you guys get this question everyday--but any info would be much appreciated. Plus i love this truck it's the first one i've owed with any heart, and the only one ive ever wanted to fix up!!!

Add two more nutz on the block and theres the mods you need! That would make plenty of h.p. But really work on the TB and Intake and Exhaust

Aaron, before the flaming starts, try the following mods.
K & N FIPK,
Throttle Body -V8 Stock, Fastman, F & B or Hughes,
Good flowing muffler(Dynomax or Flowmaster)
Also, do some searching on this site. It's real easy. a lot of good info.

Cold air, Bigger TB and the 1.7 rollers will give
you some nice gains at the rear wheels.
The microchips super tunner is a nice computer
upgrade, I have not run any dynos on the 3 that
I installed at the shop on the V6's but from what
I notice I would say 15 to 18 hp easy
Better timing and fuel curves
