My fuel gauge on my 87 is reading wrong I believe When I turn the off and hold the brake the needle will go down I need help!! I beleieve its reading wrong while I'm driving.

Ground or sending unit.
Bad news its inside the gas tank, you need to drop
the tank and take out the pump its bolted to with
the float
