Where on the firewall of a 87 Dakota 3.9 4x4 would be the ballast resistor be located, I cant locate it. I have no spark what so ever. Any other ideas would be apprieciated. It acted like I turned off the ignition cruising 55 mph no warning what so ever.

Also check the pickup and reluctor wheel in the
Dist.
The Ballist is a rect shape about 2" X 6" some
were on the side by the fender

i don,t think the 87s have the ballast,the scc controler handles the spark and advance

You may have to do some tracing... but you may want to check for corroded wires/connectors. Had the no spark problem on my '88.
