Subject: Transmission..? IP: Logged
Message: I posted a message a while back about my truck not wanting to shift when cold. Remember that my truck is an automatic just so that you know. Any time, especially in the mornings when the motor is still cool and i take off, the rpm's will jump real high and it doesnt want to shift. I have to take my foot off the gas to finally get it to shift. I had my tranny serviced last week and they drained my fluid, put a new filter in, adjusted the bands, and also put some additive along with it. It seems to do alot better especially shifts smoother when it does. But I still have that miss especially in the mornings or when the truck is cool. The mechanic told me I should maybe give the additive some time before deciding if it will actually work? Does anyone know if this is a sign of my transmission goin out for good? Man I hope not that would leave a hole in my pocket :(
