Anybody know anything about the new 3.7 V6 and when (not if) it will be available in the Dakota? I know that it's going in the Liberty right now.

No idea at this time...wondering when myself. (But i'll stick to my 3.9L for now...much more available for it than the 3.7L.)

the 3.7 has it's own kenne belle supercharger...they had one on that liberty called the patriot painted bright yellow...it was produced not even a month after the jeep came out and all we can do is steal the V8's sc....what a bunch of crap!

Don't ya love it when something new comes out and the manufacturers quickly jump on a concept vehicle (modified/aftermarket bolt-ons)....oh wait, Dodge didn't do that with the 3.9L Gen-III. ;)

The 3.7 is available on all the new Rams, and I believe the Dakotas too. SUPOSSEDLY, the 3.7 produces 20 more ponies than the 3.9! Oh, my baby(my new dak) is doin good. She is gettin a new moonroof today! Stereo later this week or next week.

I am building my own 4.7 HO. hehe
2001 RC 4.7 5sp 9.25" 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.
