Subject: Spark Plugs Wire IP: Logged
Message: I recently changed my oem spark plug wires to MSD 8.5 mm. It started ok, but went for a ride and noticed it started miss firing. I am assuming that I also need to replace plugs or the wires are to much for the application.
I only have the 180 degree stat install. I also bought the APP 5224 plugs, but not installed yet and not sure if they are right for the application after reading some subject in the V6 3.9 forum.
Can someone help or advise?

Message: You don't need an MSD the bigger wires have less
resistance and will carry more volts across to
the firing point.
Be sure there on right
6 5
4 3
2 1
FAN
165432 clockwise rotation
Bad plug or carbon track on cap could
create a miss
I would exchange the APP for AP there is no
advantage they just cost more and gap them
.005 over factory specs
