Message: I tried this and to my amazement you can hear inside the cats very well!! Drivers side is smooth, passenger side sounds gurgly and rough. I have experienced very poor power and also an increase in engine/exhaust noise. I have 16000 on my 02 3.9 and have toyed with many of the mods listed on hear, tried them all but honestly found that the truck just plain ran better restored back to factory. Just wondering now if all the toying screwed something up in the computer and caused a problem with this one cat. Its going in to the dealer on monday and it will be interesting to see what they say. They don't like me cause i argue with them about everything so i may have to find a new dealer to really get this problem fixed. Also found that taking out the drop in K&N has made my truck run much quieter, wierd how these trucks all react differently! Never got an engine light though for anything, that is what has me wondering if something is or isn't wrong

Message: The check engine light is not the tell all diagnostics that people think it is..I just love the people that scan for codes and replace whatever the code says..hell no wonder just anybody can be a mekanik. when you find out what the prob is let me know. As for the mods sorry to hear that you wasted your time and money, alot of the mods mentioned are just myths. But the only way to tell is to do it yourself and be HONEST with yourself about the results.

Message: just dropped the truck off at the dealer this morning. i hope they check this thing out real good. I think mods are overrated unless you have a whole bunch. I was very honest with myself, they did not work!! some trucks they do and others they don't. your right, you just have to try them and see.
