Message: my 93' V6 dodge dakota's steering is loose and im not sure how to tighten it. it turns about 30-40 degrees both ways from center before catching and actually letting me control it. This results in semi un-controlable conditions when going over 60 mph. please help

Message: ditto, it gets loose on my steering as well, except im in a 97 truck. I think when they re-align everything, that your steering might get tightened, not sure though.

Message: I had the same problem on my 1994 4x4. I could move the steering wheel to about 10 and 2 oclock and the tires wouldnt move. Found out the bushing was blown on my pitman arm. replaced that and it was better. Went for an aligmnent and found out the idler arm also needed to be replaced. After all that it was fine. hope this helps.
