THIS IS A SERIOUS THING NO CHILDISH BS ON THIS ONE. Ok... here we go. I know they dont make one for our truck. The purpose of this post is to get a rough estimate on how many people would buy an intake manifold for the v6? Im looking at a blank email page thinking of what I can tell Edelbrock for them to make a manifold for us, and not say that there isnt a demand for it. I want to have all my stuff together before going to them and getting turned down.
So Im starting a list of who would buy the manifold priced at v8 manifold price (cant ask for everything). This will be on the www.dakotatrucks.com also so please save me some time and just post once. Here we go use your full name it looks better...

Thats a negative Richard... Hughes modifies a stock intake manifold. 93 Sport the manifold doesnt exist yet we read it again we are trying to rally together to get them to make a manifold for us.

Truthfully I dont think we are going to get anything. Our motors are discontinued and all the people that know more about our motors are shooting it down right off the back. J&J Auto(Larry) and Intense39dak (Greg) have both just kinda turned their heads on this one. Both saying just to go with a modified stock manifold. So much for support right...

I would say like myself, both Larry and Greg would look forward to a good V6 manifold. I would probably be interested in one. But I do realize as do Larry and Greg that a market must exist. The cost of a limited run is great. And remember no one makes intakes for a flathead any more. Our motor is going the same way. Still I would love to have a good intake. Write all the forums, advertise about the intake. It could come to pass.

Wrong, you are right about the selling of parts. But developement probably stopped a long time ago. I support the project to try and get a manifold. My post was just an attempt to point out that discontinued engines get no developement from manufactures. The flathead Dodge engine hasn't had a two barrel intake at any auto show in years. That just the way it is. Unless you have a good demand for a product, it won't get attention from manufactures. Keep the issue in front of the manufactures though. Good luck.

easy there jon!!!
i think the idea is great but i think that it would be hard to get someone to build a mold for it... i think that if you are gonna want one, you are either gonne have to;
1. build it yourself
2. pay someone a lot of money
3. gimme some more time to build one myself!
