Subject: Radiator Drain Plug Location IP: Logged
Message: Hey Guys,
I can't find the radiator drain plug on my 2000 3.9L Dak. I searched the forums and had no luck there. Does anyone know where this petcock is? Driver's side, bottom? Thanks for all the help.

Message: It's right on top of the rad. Open the hood and look on the right. You can't miss it.

Message: It should be at the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side. You may have to partially remove the splash shield to see it. It should also have a 3" hose connected to it (used for draining). The top end of the 3" hose connects to radiator just to keep it clean (it does not do anything).

Message: so if the drain or petcock is on the drivers side
than if I have water running down in three streams on the right side when I pour into top than it can t be the petcock unless that rubber hose mentioned is stuck ( never mind) don t know how I had leakage when I shut off ( prob when driving too ) and slight and all of a sudden just pours out within 2 miles so has to be the radiator but put it in end of last year but they didn t flush so could that HAVE DAMAGED RADIATOR IF STILL rusty water left in the core and it clogged
