Subject: Radiator Drain Plug Location

Message:
Hey Guys,

I can't find the radiator drain plug on my 2000 3.9L Dak. I searched the forums and had no luck there. Does anyone know where this petcock is? Driver's side, bottom? Thanks for all the help.

It's right on top of the rad. Open the hood and look on the right. You can't miss it.

It should be at the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side. You may have to partially remove the splash shield to see it. It should also have a 3" hose connected to it (used for draining). The top end of the 3" hose connects to radiator just to keep it clean (it does not do anything).

so if the drain or petcock is on the drivers side
than if I have water running down in three streams on the right side when I pour into top than it can t be the petcock unless that rubber hose mentioned is stuck ( never mind) don t know how I had leakage when I shut off ( prob when driving too ) and slight and all of a sudden just pours out within 2 miles so has to be the radiator but put it in end of last year but they didn t flush so could that HAVE DAMAGED RADIATOR IF STILL rusty water left in the core and it clogged
