Subject: New IAC? IP: Logged
Message: Someone was telling me the other day that i could just get a new IAC or clean out my old one and that should stop the air whistling sound i hear at cold startup from when i put my K&N FIPK (57-1501) on a while back? If so where is the IAC located? Another option I was told is to get a larger TB? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Not sure how that will help since my 600 mile SXT whistles and I doubt it is dirty and should be at least as new of a design as when it was built earlier this year.
So it whistles [shrug] i consider it a conversation piece like the blow off valve on my turbo car; and no I did NOT put on a rice part to make it louder, it just sounds like that stock :)

Message: I put a new IAC in recently and I already had the FIPK. There was no change in sound, so I'd guess you can't really do anything about it.
