Message: hey everyone,
i just got back from texas raceway (1/8th) and ran a best of 9.8. two weeks ago i ran a 10.0 with bad tire spin....this trip i brought my hoosier 27/11.5/15 with me.....boy did they help!
when i flipped the switch the tires actually chirped and my truck went sideways for a second!:)
remember i have an open diff.
everyone else there had brought their trailor queens and were like "WOW, what engine do you have?" i told them it was a six....they couldn't believe it, even with the juice.
wow that was fun!:)

Message: I remember the first time I hit a 9.90 in the 1/8th mile...that was with 32" BFG's. :)
I now run consistent 9.4's @ 76mph. (And there's plenty of room for improvement.)
IntenseDak97: A set of 3.90 gears will definitely help you out.

Message: wise guy huh? no, at the track my truck actually fishtales.....god knows why? but it is pretty funny to do the one wheel wonder burnout! everybody at the track thought my truck was a rt...but i said no, rt's don't have Sport written across the side!
bernd,
i hope to get 4.10's pretty soon....maybe in the next two weeks...i also would like to open up my y-pipe (still have stock) and work on my cat.... oh, i have just about all of your cheap stuff at speedtweaks in my shopping cart...will probably buy today (iat adjuster, sparkplugs, rotor, cap)...i am sure my rotor and cap are gone by know with my msd ignition...
quick question....are the benefits of those cap and rotors you have the brass what nots? the local autozone sells some brand with brass in them and i used them on all of my other cars...cheaper too...don't have to pay shipping!
thanx bernd

Message: Napa and PepBoys sell the Borg Warner cap/rotors. Just be careful and check the rotor you buy and make sure the tip isn't loose. Also, i've seen a few caps that were marked as the brass part but opened it up and found steel contacts. Just check the box(s) before buying them.
I ran the 100HP shot for quite some time and the only thing I needed (at that time) was a timing retard box. NX has updated the jetting since them but you'll still need to run either SuperUnleaded at minimum. I definitely recommend that you add a can of NOS Octane booster to the tank with the 100HP shot though.

Message: i've always put good ol' 93 octane in my truck since day one....tried 87 and you can tell the difference even bonestock! i also use NOS offroad 7+ octane when i use nitrous...i am not to worried about pre-ignition but more of compression....how long would the head gaskets last using 100 shot? Does someone make like a copper one for our v-sixers?
i just remembered the brand autozone carries....Conrad, or something to that nature....they were all brass fittings with a red cap...my father uses them religiously...and they have a special gold series...about $8.00 for the cap and rotor...

I don't have the timeslip for it anymore, but it was right around the 72mph mark. I'll try to dig it up for ya but it's been almost a year since that run.
Here's "landmarks" history on my truck:
River City Raceway - 3/18/00 - 75HP NX Shot (No Blower)
1/8: 10.45 @ 67.70 MPH
1/4 Mile: 16.34 sec. @ 83.61 MPH
Houston Raceway Park - 9/24/00 - Blower Installed @ 6# boost (No Nitrous)
1/8 Mile: 10.21 @ 68.36mph
1/4 Mile: 16.016 sec. @ 84.04 MPH
Those times were with the Fabtech 3" lift, 2" Body lift, 4.10:1 gears, and the BFG 32" tires.

Message: yeah, i had seen your website about a year ago....i was thinking "what is that guy doing with that jacked up truck?!?!"....although it was pretty cool! wow...on one of my runs a couple of weeks ago i ran a 10.4 also but it was at 71 mph...hard to launch those 32"s....can't complain with the 4.10 gears you had, though....i still settle for the stock 3.55....i am so glad dodge didn't do something dumb like put in 2.73s!
oh, by the way...i got to your web site by typing in "dodge dakota v6 performance" in the search box on AOL!

Message: The 3.90:1 is about the best ratio for the V6's. Wish they would build a 3.70:1 set though for chrysler diffs in our trucks (best of both worlds for street/strip).
