I posted this in the Performance board too but here goes...

Hey all,

I have a 97 3.9 Dak. I have put a new timing chain and tensioner on it and water pump, I have also put on a Highflow 3" cat and Ravin 3" to 2-2.5" outlet exhaust on it and a K&N drop in filter. I have replaced the o2 sensor.

The truck is running rich and pinging with cheap gas which it never did before, I have tried reseting the computer by leaving the Pos battery terminal unhooked for an hour and by unhooking the battery and turning the key to the start position for a minute. None of these helped my problem.

The truck is now starting to act up and not keep running after I start it. I try to start it and it fires and dies right away, I have to keep my foot on the gas to start it and keep it going for about a minute of driving then it is ok. It does it when it is hot or cold.

Any suggestions on any of this is greatly appreciated. I am dying here...

Thanks all.

Any time you replace a timing chain or add a
tensioner you need to reset the fuel injector
sync.

It don't realy matter which cable you disconect to
reset the comp
