Message: O.k. guys. I want to know something. Which would be better for my 2001 Dodge Dakota 3.9L: a twin turbo charger set or a supercharger? (Remember that I use this for daily driving) I want to get the most boost without killing my gas mileage. Can you help me?

Message: The superchager loads the engine all the time.
A turbo will go under boost at mid rpms and up.
Also a single turbo of the correct size is great on a V6.

At 1800 rpm the Eaton M 90 only takes 1/3 hp to
rotate the twin screws and you can uptain 14 lbs
of boost, runing this unit with 8 lbs and an
intercoller would net around 75hp gain.
Also you gain right off idle and at 2000 rpm it
really jumps

Message: LOL
How do you hook up a Eaton M 90
Take a look at how they are set up on some
vehicles, they are not or need to be bolted
directly to the manifold.
They make some real nice covers to bolt to the
output side that you can run a round tube
right to an air hat.
The only tuff part is making a braket to mount
the unit and run the belt.
I bid on one on Ebay for $250 but did not win it
sold for $275, was not fast enough.
There were 2 M 90's Eaton on Ebay last week, I
also found a used Kenny Bell for the 318 for
$1700 they use the Wipple blower made in Sweeden
I think this is the way I am going to go on my
truck and save the head ache of fabing a custom
Exh. With an inter cooler 3" tubes on the intake
side to and back from the cooler.
Kenny Bell has stoped work on the Hemi set up
because he is to busy right now with the SEMA
show coming up.
When I put the S/C on the hemi I will put some
pics up.
The price on the 5.7 Hemi with the intercooler
he quoted me $4900 and he said should be ready
by late Dec early Jan

Message: They make a real nice cover to bolt on the output
side that converts it to a 3" round same thing
for the intake side so all you would be doing is
fabing some 3" mandrel bent tubes to hook it up
after its mounted.
Another thing you will have to take control of
your timing and fuel and add a 200 gpm inline pump
to run during full boost so you don't run lean
and melt down.
They say with an intercooler you can run stock
timing but somehow I just cant see that on the V6
There are lots of blowers out there its just the
one I was looking at because I like the twin screw
design over the rotor design.
Brennan also makes a S/C
http://www.brennanracing.com/supercharger.html
Here is some info on the Whipple blowers that
Kennt Bell uses
http://www.coloradocobras.com/whipple/about-whipple/whipple-twin-screw.html
The twin screw is what you used to see on the old
chevys and hemis.
Did you ever get a chanse to see Jesse James
choped coup with the 1969 factory 426 hemi drag
motor 8 sec street car with a blower and a 4 speed
he says he just keeps it around to scare the crap
out of his friends.
Jesse James custom choppers in california
Not sure what I will end up with this is all in
the dream stage right now, wanted to hold off
untill I get my KB S/C on the hemi right now on
the dyno showing over 500hp he is still breaking
some computer codes and tunning the unit
But it seams to me it would be a lot less work
than fabing a whole new exhaust system to run 1
or 2 turbos on the V6

Message: Tom
Nice truck and web site.
PS: You may want to change your "hot air intake" into a "cold air intake" by inclosing it in a box that is open only to air from the grill area. This way it won't suck in all that hot engine air that robs your engine of power.
