Will a 3.9L from a 98 dakota work in a 93? Will the intake, exhaust manifolds, etc bolt up from the 93? Any help on the matter will be appreciated.

I have not done it but I can't think of any reaon it wouldn't. Same engine, Different year.
Next time a Honduh wants to race
Ask him how many sheets of plywood he can haul?

I do not know. I do know thier are two difference in the two
engines. They changed the heads and the intake. I am also
looking for information on this. I want to do the same thing.

want to swap my 1993 3.9 to a 1998 dodge dakota 3.9 .the 93 is a 5 speed the 98 is a automatic. want to keep it automatic.will it have the same plugs on the harnes.are they both internal balanced or external balanced

I put a '00 3.9 from a 1500 2wd into a '93 Dakota 4wd, all I had to do was change the intake, exhaust manifold, flywheel, motor mounts and distributor
