HELL YEAH, just installed a 40 series on my truck this weekend and love it. I had it on my old truck also (92 ranger 3.0 v6) great strong muffler!

Anyone know where I could find a soundfile of a 40 series? I'm thinking about getting one (single in/dual out), but I don't want it if it's gonna get me pulled over all the time for them thinking I'm driving without a muffler. Our cops are pricks...

Did some searching and found this sound file... does this sound like the Flowmaster 40 on a dak? The soundfile is from a 4.2L V6 Ford F-150 so that's why I'm asking since there's a possibility of it being COMPLETELY different.

GB2000, You want something that has a nice deep rumble and "kinda" quite right? The 40 series is the loudest and then comes the 50. I think the 50 has a deeper tone on a V6 but just a little quieter. go with the 50 series as it is still loud were you and everyone else can here it but just not as loud as the 40 and besides the 50 sounds better on a v6. Trust me I have had both.

i have a 50 series with delta flow, and it sounds nice, just right amount of rumble. not too loud, but definitely noticeable around 2200 rpm. thats my new favorite driving speed just so i can hear it at its loudest :) have fun with it GB2000, and i got mine for only 75.50. call this number if you are interested. it is Alberts Exhaust Warehouse. 956-381-8370. good luck

Thanks guys...I'll look into the 50 series. I need to find out what I got currently. From what I been told, I have "dual turbo mufflers." No idea what that means though since I was told there were no gains from it.

i just got my flowmaster in the mail from Alberts Exhaust Warehouse. 956-381-8370 that is the number and part number for flow is 430402 it is a 3" in and dual 2.5" out sounds NICE!

I weld up mufflers for a living and can tell you that the only people that down a flowmaster is the ones that have not tried it. A flowmaters has a one of a kind rumble to it that you can tell right a way. If you go with the flowmaster then you will be happy. I would also like to say that there is other good mufflers out there on the market. Hooker makes a good deep sounding muffler as well as Dynomax.

i have the 3in in dual 2.5 out on my 98 4x4 and it sound real good....i have i dumped right in front of the rear axle.....
