Message: What mechanical changes were made in the magnum V6 over the years. Different valves, head design, intake and exhaust manifolds, injectors, throttle bodies, you know, that type of thing.

Message: They basically have not changed since they went to Gen II in 1992. Most parts are interchangable from '92-01. Not sure what they did different in '01-Present.
In 92 when they came out with the Gen II Magnum, they used the same block but Different heads, Roller Cam, Roller Lifters, Cross-Flow Intake and True Fuel Injection.

and changed the heads from the old rocker
shaft to studs with roller lfters as stock
item and raised the hp from 125 to 175

Message: damn!!! that sucks...i am in the process of trying to get rid of the infernal computer altogether, and a carb seemed the logical way to go. but im a cheap-ass and i dont want to have to shell out any more money than i have to on the parts

Message: i understood that they changed the rockers, etc... but did the actuall intake ports change locations, and is the bolt pattern for the intake the same? i can fix minor variations in the port sizes, as long as theyre in the same general area!!!!

Message: The Mag 92up intake has verticle bolt holes while the PreMag has angled holes. No they are not directly interchangable but I have heard of someone doing some pretty major drilling and welding to reposition the bolt holes. Sounded like a recipe for disaster to me.
