I just put new shocks on my 93' 3.9 not too long ago. I put Gabriel's Gas Ryder LT's and man did it make a difference.

Rides alot smoother and I haul some heavy things every once and a while and I'm very impressed at how it handles the load. Its supposed to be a heavier duty type shock for this type of truck (small-medium size duty)

I picked mine up at my uncles business (dust & Sons) for about $170 for the 4 all together

I'm a huge fan of the Edelbrock IAS shocks. You can read about em almost anywhere to get the info. Put them on my old truck - you could take turns a good 10mph faster easily! It'd be worth checkin out.

I put Bilstien Heavy Duty Ride shocks on my truck. It handles great; I can take turns like nothing. Its not a very smooth ride though, the stiffen out the suspension a lot. Of course I did put full-ton leaf springs on the truck too. Anyway, these shocks are self adjusting to load and road conditions, so it gives you a bit smoother ride if the road is rough, and a hard ride when you need good handling or are hauling something. I love these shocks, but if you want a more comfortable ride, then I wouldn't recommend them.
