Hey guys,
I just recently got rid of my 97' Camaro Z28 and picked up a nice 99' Dakota SLT. I was just curious on what kind of modifications can I do to my Dakota? With my camaro, I can drop into the internals and do cams and rockers, port the heads, etc. Is it even worth it getting into the motor of a V6? I know the typical intake/exhaust mods will be fine, but is that all for these trucks? I miss the mod capabilities I had on my camaro. Please respond, thanks!

You can do the usual stuff to your engine. Port and polish the intake manifold. Not hard to do. Cold air induction with K&N filter, hotter ignition, wires and stuff. There are headers available for V6 Daks too. Plugging them into a duel exhaust will really improve performance. It'll be expensive. Just remember one thing. It's a truck! You can improve the horsepower and torque but, you're not going to get a whole lot of speed without a different tranny.
