Message: Michelin's are some of the best tire's if you are looking for durability but just cost to much . Here is a seceret when buying tires, 9 times out of 10 your bigger chain tire dealer's (Wal-mart, sears..) will have a line of tire's that are made just for them to offer but they are made by a large quality tire manufacter just under a different name with the same performance and half the cost.

Message: Um, tire expert....he said wires. Dude just go to something like advance auto parts and get what they have there, I used to work there and I know what they have is pretty good. NAPA also has some deciant wires but they are thinner, 7mm. I ended up with the ones from NAPA only because advance auto parts was out. It runs, I haven't had any problems.

Message: I too have the Beldon wires from NAPA, they are an exact OE replacement. I could'nt see spending 3 times more for a set of wires that I could'nt tell any performance changes with.
Don't let anybody tell you that 8.5mm are better than 7mm wires. The mm rating is only for the insulation to protect from heat and crossfires, 7mm is more than enough for a stock ignition.(if the wire is in good condition)
The only big difference between wires is RESISTANCE, and that has nothing to do with insulation size. It has everthing to do with wire conductor construction.
Plus at $35, you can change your wires every time you change your plugs, cap and rotor.

Message: As for tires, I recently bought a pair of BF Goodrich TA Long Trail tires for $78 each at Sams (225 75 15). Good looking tire and they seem to wear better than the Goodyear Wrangeler RT/S, so far. What kind of tires are you looking for? Off road, highway performance, speed, or just reasonably priced?

Message: Price most of all. I was quoted at a Discount Tire for Dunlop Grand Trek TG3 at $478. I still have the Goodyears at 61,000 miles and they are showing the wear bars. What do you think of that price?

Message: they're average tires at best and most owners said they wouldn't buy them again. check out tire rack. they're rated 6-7 out of ten.

Message: From what I've read on here...they are excellent for dry/non-dusty conditions, but SUCK when the roads are wet, dusty. I think that's what I got on mine right now from when I bought it. I can't wait til I get new ones soon. I'm sick of those tires!
