I noticed that Dodge is now putting the 3.7L motor in the Dakota for 2004.
Besides my 3.9L Dakota, I also drive a Jeep Liberty with this motor and was wondering what everybody thought about it.
It's rated at 210 HP and really moves the little Jeep along. How do you think it will do in the much heavier Dakota? Improvement over the underpowered 3.9L?

I drove one about 2 days ago for the heck of it at a dealer near me where my friend works. It was a 5spd. Low-end was about the same, but overall felt better to drive than the 3.9 I have. Seems to have more passing power and just plain feels better to drive.
That's just my impressions after a quick 10 or 15min drive.
