Message:
hey i have a dodge ram with a 3.9L engine in it and i have recently ran in to a problem with it i can't figure out. i recently lost all oil pressure in it so i changed the pump and now all i have is a psi of about 20 or so unlti i accelarte, i know that is enough psi for the engine to function but the problem is i still have knocking. i've already checked the bearing and they are getting plenty of oil, there was no scaring or bluing from over heat on them. it seems like there is just not any oil getting up in to one of the galliers and it leaves me at a bit of a lose of what to do know, if any one can help or got any good ideas i would greatly appretiate it, thx

If the knocking is near the front of the engine it could be the timing chain.
