Subject: In and Out of OD, RPM hunting... IP: Logged
Message: While on the highway yesterday, the Dak was behaving poorly. While IN overdrive, the RPM's hunted around anywhere from 1900 to about 2400. Very annoying. Didn't actually SHIFT out of OD, but it was acting like it was going to.
Then, a little later, it actually started popping in and out of OD, for no reason...no wind, no hills, nothing. Also very annoying.
I had the Governor Pressure Solenoid and Trans Temp Sensor replaced less than a month ago (about 500 miles ago). What's going on here?
Thanks

Message: I have a 99 V6 auto;
Mine was doing the the very same thing about
6 months ago, turned out to be the TPS
(throttle position sensor). Replaced with a
new TPS and has never done it since.
