Subject: Why is my 97 Dak stalling on corners? IP: Logged
Message: So far this has happened three times in about 9000 miles, so this isn't a major problem, but it isn't normal. When I am turning a corner sometimes my engine will die. The first time I thought it was due to one of the keys on the ring poking into the gap between the steering wheel and the column, thus I forgot it: until it happened two more times. It seems that it happens when the truck has been running less than 5 minutes, I am turning a corner somewhat sharply, and I am accelerating [2500-3500 rpm]. The engine just dies. I turn the key to the start position and it begins running with no problems from then on. Any thoughts/ideas?

Message: Hers an idea but you need to drop the gas tank to
check.
Maybe the lower part of the pickup on the fuel
pump fell off it would give you a good shot of
air in the fuel lines when cornering.
Fill the tank to the top and try to get it to
stall if it don't do it untill the fuel level
is lower its a good posibility

Message: Yup my '98 Jeep did the same thing and so did a '94 Ram I was driving. Only did it when the fuel was below 1/4 tank.
It would sputter & then pick back up when I was close to a 1/4 but would die completely if I was below.
