Subject: Dies at startup... HELP! IP: Logged
Message: Sometimes when I crank the engine, it will rev up normal, then the RPM will fall really low, and the engine will die. If i restart it, its fine. Sometimes, it will do it when i switch from reverse to drive. It only does it at start up. Im thinking its ignition. The only mods i have are a brass cap and rotor, a cold air intake, and autolite 3923s. Any ideas?

Message: try resetting your pcm,
disconect the negative termianl of the battery and turn your key on and let it sit for about ten minutes turn the key off and reconnect the battery, start it , it will probably want to stall once more , let it stall turn the key off and start it again. it stalls once more because the computer is recalibrating, that is normal.
if the problem persists, check the voltage on your tps.

Message: It could also be a slow reacting IAC Idle air
control selinoid, a small leak on the plenum
gaskit on the bottom of the manifold and as soon
as a little oil splashes on it it seals the leak.
Also could be low fuel presure at start up.
The IAC is located on the back of the TB you can
remove it and see if its carbond up if so clean
with carb cleaner but do not push pull or twist
the plunger
