Subject: Selling price for my Dakota? IP: Logged
Message: I got a 1993 RC Long Bed Dakota. It is a 3.9L with a 5 speed. It has a drop-in K&N filter, and thats it. I added buckets out of a Daytona in it. It has only 48,000 miles!! The car has a 1" spot on the hood were the paint is peeling and spots on the tailgate. there is a small dent in the drivers door. It has a topper and bed mat. The KBB value is about $2200. Do you think I will be able to get $2000 for this? Is there much of a market for a truck like this?
Thanks for your input

Message: Sounds like it looks & runs good, YES.
I just purchased another '93 CC 4x2 w/ 3.9. Not running w/medium accident damage on front end for $800. Dropping in the old engine from my Dak 2morrow and putting it up for sale for $1500. It shouldn't last for more than a week.
Good luck & price sounds right. Only 1 Question, Why so few miles? Most '93s should be over or around 100K by now....

Message: It belonged to my grandpa, and he bought it new in 93 and just rarely drove it, only to and from the grocery store every week or so and small errands, occasional trips too.

Message: 2000.00 it shouldn't take long to sell. i don't know what your market is like, but down here a truck like that would probably sell in a week or 2.

Message: I bought my 1991 long bed w/ 113,000 miles, 5-speed, bed mat, good tires, leaky radiator, bad blower motor resister and oil pressure sending unit, no freon in the compressor, bad master cylinder (these things went bad or noticed within 1-2 months after the purchase) for $2,000. The silver paint is hanging tough, minimal loss, a few chips on the hood and roof, and runs and looks good (no rust). It was a good price from what I looked at here in the St. Louis area, it should sell for $2,000 easily.
