Message: I will be getting a 1989 Dakota Sport 3.9L. It will be my first none GM vehicle. Despite being a V6 is their a way I can get a deep throaty sounding exhaust? I curently own a '95 Olds Achieva and because of the way the cylinders fire she has a good "American Muscle" sound; Deep & Angry! Someone please help.

Message: A deep sound is very easy in the low RPMs. You can get this from a glasspack, a 40-series flowmaster, etc. But, in the higher RPMs with these mufflers, it gets the "V6-like" tone or the "ricier" tone, however you want to look at it.
Best thing I found was the Dynomax Super Turbo, part number 17748. When first bought it was barely noticeable from stock, after 3k miles or so, it really burnt in nicely and had a nice low rumble at idle and when accelerating it was a nice mellow acceleration, not "loud" but deep.
Hope that helps some.

Message: if you put a glass pack on ur truck or any or any other vehicle i hope it blows up, those mufflers arent worth the gas it would take you to start the truck to see what its goin to sound like.screw flowmaster too that company sucks for flow. hooker aero chambers are where its at, deep and will keep the ricer tone away, dyno max is good stuff too
